Cognitive Robotics: Enhancing Interactive Capabilities of Social Robots with Biological Cognition

<Abstract>

As technology rapidly evolves in the field of artificial intelligence, drawing inspiration from the study of biological cognition to enhance social robots towards achieving human-like cognitive abilities has emerged as a prominent research topic. This talk introduces the concept of cognitive robotics, delving into its emulation of various facets of human cognitive processes. We will explore how insights from biological cognition offer invaluable perspectives, aiding our comprehension of the human cognitive process and facilitating the development of robot systems capable of emulating human thought patterns to enhance performance across diverse tasks. Furthermore, we will share the latest research endeavors undertaken by our team in the cognitive robotics, encompassing development processes. Through this discourse, we aim to ignite greater interest in cognitive robotics and foster ongoing advancements and innovations within this realm.
